To Mr. Skye McGowan

You will be sorely missed by more then just your family. You were a great person, great teacher and great mentor. You have been one of the greatest influences in my life and you only taught me for one year. I guess it's just how the saying goes, "The good die young". But that doesn't even do justice for yourself because you were more then good and you work in Bert Church will never be forgotten. Your legacy will live on and although you have passed your humor, your knowledge, and just your overall character will forever be in everyone hearts, your students, your family, your colleagues. You have left a legacy that you could not even imagine and although you aren't here to share it with us, I know, we know, that you are forever with us and watching over us. There was once this wise English teacher that was helping a struggling student through his course and this student asked his teacher why he bothers to help him. The teacher replies with a short and confident phrase, "It's not what you take with you when you leave this world, it's what you leave behind". And you Skye left so much more behind then just another person, you were truly a great person and you will be missed.

My condolences are with the McGowan family and I wish to them the best of luck. I look forward to seeing you on Monday and remembering Skye for the truly great person he was.
